As part of the North West Youth Programme (NWYP) we actively seek to take different groups of regular attenders to play fixtures against other organisations who run similar projects.
On Monday 12th February, we took the trip down to Liverpool to play within the Hate Crime Awareness Tournament, hosted by the LFC Foundation.
Throughout the day there were a number of fixtures played against Liverpool, Everton and Preston, as well as attending an Anthony Walker Foundation Workshop on Hate Crime.
We are extremely proud of our players who were up extra early to be at Firhill for 7am – to start their journey down south, who represented the Trust in a very professional manner while attending the tournament, and also for coming home as tournament WINNERS! An experience I’m sure they will never forget!
The Trust would like to thank both players and coaches for fantastically representing the Trust, as well as the LFC Foundation for our invitation and hosting the event.
We are hoping to continue the programme throughout the year and attend further trips, or host one of our own.
