Who We Help
The aim of Partick Thistle Charitable Trust is to provide opportunities to everyone through which they can improve their lives, making people healthier, happier and more successful.
We utilise the power of football and the Partick Thistle Charitable Trust brand across Glasgow to engage with people from many different backgrounds. It’s the work of our projects, programmes and excellent staff which makes the real difference.
The cross section of people we work with is unparalleled within our community; those we work with vary in age from 4 to 89 years. We truly do offer something for everyone, with programmes impacting health, behaviour, attitude, skills, knowledge and more.
Whilst we are linked to Partick Thistle Football Club we are structurally and financially independent of the football club, meaning we are responsible for fundraising every year to run our life-changing programmes.
Fundraise for us
Fundraising is Important!
Our community programmes and the work we do is made possible by donations or by people fundraising on our behalf. This money supports a number of programmes and the work we do regarding:
- Physical and Mental Wellbeing
- Promotion of good citizenship, respect and inclusion
- Increased participation in sport, particularly football
How You Can Fundraise for the Trust
Organise your own event or become a Challenge Yourself Champion!
One way to help us is by organising a fundraising event, like a bake sale, a quiz night, a charity football match or a coffee morning.
Take part in a fundraising challenge:
Challenge yourself and support our charity by selecting Partick Thistle Charitable Trust as your chosen charity. The money you raise would be used to bring benefit to everyone who uses the services provided by the Trust.
By fundraising for charitable arm of the Club you support you will gain a real sense of achievement and personal satisfaction – learn more here.
Volunteer for us
Volunteers are a vital part of achieving our goals and have played a key role in a number of activities in the past.
Volunteers have played a significant role in every accomplishment the Trust has achieved by contributing their time, skills, enthusiasm and passion in all that they do.
As a volunteer you have the potential to be a highly influential figure in young people’s lives. It’s an exciting, rewarding and active way of staying in the game and lets you have a direct influence. Acting as a role model and inspiration to a group of young people and seeing them grow and develop is one of the most rewarding things you can do with your spare time.
Continuing your voluntary work is an excellent way to develop skills, meet friends and contacts, boost your CV and give something back to the community. You can do anything, from volunteering at events in your local community, to helping further afield.
Volunteering with us, one of the region’s most trusted and loved charities, will enhance your career options and send a clear message to employers that you care about developing yourself and other people.
You will come into contact with a diverse range of people whilst volunteering with us, which will be fun, challenging, but always rewarding. Whatever your skills, background and experience we would love to hear from you.
If you’re interested in volunteering or fundraising for us, please get in touch on 0141 579 1971 (Opt. 8) or drop us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also send us a direct message through our Contact Us page.
